Geopolitical Intelligence Services AG, as identified in the imprint (hereinafter referred to as “we” or “our” or “us”), is committed to making the digital services provided on the website https://shop.gisreportsonline.com (hereinafter referred to as the “Offer”) accessible. Our goal is to comply with the requirements of Directive (EU) 2019/882 on accessibility requirements for products and services (the “EAA”). The implementation of the accessibility requirements is guided by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, conformance level AA.
The Offer provides information about our company and enables users to purchase digital products, in particular GIS Dossiers and related content. Individual parts of the Offer may not fall fully within the material scope of the EAA, however we aim to apply accessibility best practices across the entire Offer wherever reasonably possible.
Non accessible content
WCAG Success Criterion 1.4.3 Contrast Minimum
On some views, particularly in the footer area, the contrast ratio between text and background does not consistently meet the minimum requirement of 4.5 to 1 for normal text. This affects in particular:
- the copyright notice text in the footer
- several footer navigation links such as “Support”, “Cookies”, “T&C”, “Privacy Policy” and “Revocation Policy”
In the current implementation, light text is displayed on a medium grey background, which can be difficult to read for users with low vision. We are working on addressing this issue by adjusting the color values in the footer so that text and links achieve sufficient contrast in line with WCAG 2.1 AA.
WCAG Success Criterion 2.4.3 Focus Order
In certain interactive components, in particular carousels, the keyboard focus does not always move in a fully logical or expected order. When navigating via the Tab key, focus can occasionally jump into hidden or offscreen elements, or move through items that are not currently visible to the user. This can make orientation and navigation more difficult for users relying on keyboard input.
We are reviewing the behavior of these components to ensure that keyboard focus follows a meaningful sequence aligned with the visual structure of the page.
WCAG Success Criterion 2.4.7 Focus Visible
Some interactive elements, such as the carousel navigation buttons used to switch between slides, do not provide a clearly visible focus indicator when they receive keyboard focus. As a result, users navigating via keyboard cannot always see which element is currently active.
We are working on improving the focus styling of these interactive components to ensure that focus is consistently visible in accordance with WCAG requirements.
Automated checks performed at the time of this declaration did not identify further accessibility errors in areas such as alternative text for images, language declaration, link names, heading structure or basic keyboard support. Nevertheless, manual testing for keyboard navigation, focus behavior and dynamic components remains ongoing, as automated tools can only detect a subset of possible barriers.
Creation of this Accessibility Information
This Accessibility Information is based on an internal assessment of the compatibility of the Offer with the applicable accessibility requirements. The assessment was carried out as a self test according to WCAG 2.1 on 4 December 2025.
We regularly review and improve our Offer to ensure that new or updated content complies with accessibility requirements as far as reasonably possible.
